Group Build Excellence Program 2009 (GBE)

Advanced Learning for Chairs

About the Program

The Group Build Excellence program is a comprehensive 12-month experiential-learning course designed specifically for Chairs who have already experienced sales-focused group build techniques and have found those techniques frustrating, hard to learn, and/or not the best method for them. During the program, 12 selected Chairs will learn and integrate the proven, non-sales, contribution-focused group build approach known as the CQ Approach ™ (for more information on the CQ Approach ™ visit our 'What Is The CQ Approach?' page or click here).

In addition to the curriculum, the GBE program focuses on creating a supportive community of like-minded Chairs that are committed to helping and supporting each other during and after the completion of the program. This support helps the Chairs integrate the contribution-focused principals of the CQ Approach™ even more deeply and thoroughly.

What You’ll Learn

If selected for the GBE program you will learn a proven, enjoyable, and authentic approach to successfully building your groups. You will customize the approach to your unique style, personality, and reasons for being a Chair. You will also have an opportunity to profoundly enhance your confidence, commitment, and capacity to truly make the difference in the world that only you can make. You will:

  • Learn the step-by-step approach that resulted in its creator enrolling over 350 CEOs and C-Level executives without having to sell or close
  • Discover how to increase your success ratio during selection interviews by as much as 50-60%
  • Create a customized selection process that can help you increase your retention rates now and for years to come
  • Put systems in place that can automate your member selection process and end the feast or famine cycle
  • Identify and move beyond the beliefs and automatic behaviors that can make it harder for you to attract great CEOs for your group
  • Learn how to work with your CEOs and community to generate a consistent stream of qualified candidates
  • Discover, through the deeper work, your unique contribution as a Chair and how to communicate it in an authentic and heartfelt way that attracts your most ideal CEO Candidates.

How You’ll Learn

Twice a month, sessions are held virtually in a multi-sensory learning environment utilizing web-based classrooms and telephone conference lines. Each session includes learning, doing, and sharing segments. In addition, specific step-by-step homework is assigned to help build each Chair’s customized processes and systems. Between sessions, Chairs are encouraged to connect with each other through the GBE community center to share learnings, ask questions, and receive support. The combination of the sessions and community interaction is designed to help fully integrate the new learnings and prevent old habits from reemerging.

Program Leader

The program is led and delivered by its creator Suzanne Livingston of ChairCoach.com and will be co-facilitated at times by Chairs who have worked one-to-one with Suzanne on developing their own contribution-focused approach. To learn more about Suzanne visit our "About" page or click here.
